About the Role:

As a Software Engineer at Meta, you will join the team responsible for developing innovative products that power connections between billions of users and businesses. Your work will directly influence the core products and services that drive global communication and economic growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. This is a full-stack engineering role focused on end-to-end product development, performance optimization, and global impact.

Responsibilities:

• Build full-stack web or mobile applications using a range of coding languages and frameworks.
• Use Meta’s internal programming language Hack to develop scalable product features.
• Implement user interfaces with XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and build product features using frameworks such as React and React Native.
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to scale backend systems.
• Develop reporting interfaces and real-time data feeds.
• Take ownership of product areas and complete large-scale features independently.
• Drive innovation and suggest changes to existing codebases and product systems proactively.

Key Technology Skills:

Hack, JavaScript, React, React Native, XHTML, CSS, SQL, Python, C, C++, Java, C#, Web Development, Mobile App Development, Full Stack Development, API Design, Unit Testing

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and drive change.
• Expertise in building large-scale infrastructure and maintainable codebases.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, or C#.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
• Must commit to a minimum of 24 months in the same team and role within India before becoming eligible for an internal transfer.
